| Fred Ginter apprenticed in
the baking industry 55 years ago in the Black Forest region of Germany.
Fred brought his tradition of excellence to Nassau, Bahamas where
he started working with Nassau Beach hotel in 1959 and continued with
Paradise Island until he decided to make his pastries available to
the Bahamian public.
In 1988 Fred and Mae Ginter opened the Swiss Pastry Shop, on Prince
Charles Drive located in Plaza Del Sol Building. Through hard work,
dedication to quality and high standards the Ginter's have managed
to expand the pastry business to Cable Beach in order to better
serve their growing customers.
The Ginter family has been delighting their patrons with desserts,
exceptional wedding cakes and native Bahamian delights. Together
they spend countless hours ensuring the daily details that the products
are properly made and displayed, that the bakers and pastry chefs
