About Us

The PURPOSE of this Web site is to provide information and updates regarding the ministry of Father Zlatko Sudac, and to be used as an instrument of evangelization through the use of modern technology.

Our GOAL is to help people come to a deeper union with Christ, and a greater love for and obedience to the Church, through the ministry of Fr. Sudac. We hope that Our Lord will use this Web site as a means to that end. May it all be for the greater glory of God!

The AUTHORS of this Web site are Ann Vucic and Cindy Wendt. Ann works as Fr. Sudac's full-time interpreter, in addition to coordinating the efforts to bring groups from the USA and other countries to Bethany House for retreats with Fr. Sudac. Though she is from Chicago, she lives most of the year in Croatia, at Bethany House. Ann is a native of Herzegovina, from a little village just 3 miles from Medjugorje. Her family moved to the United States when she was 2 years old, and so she grew up speaking both English and Croatian. In early June 1981, when Ann was 15 years old, her family went on a family vacation to Herzegovina. Two weeks after they arrived in the country, the apparitions of the Virgin Mary began in Medjugorje. Ann spent much of the summer of 1981 in Medjugorje, and this experience completely changed her life and heart. Since then, Ann has had a great love for evangelization, and is thrilled that God has allowed her to be a part of such a wonderful ministry with Fr. Sudac. Ann completed undergraduate studies in Theology and Psychology, and graduate studies in Social Work. Up until 1999, Ann worked as a Social Worker in one of the largest Social Service Agencies in the United States. In early 1999, Ann quit her job, feeling that the Lord was calling her into a ministry, though the specific direction of that calling was not made clear until Ann's path crossed with Fr. Zlatko Sudac's path, about 6 months later. Ann first met Fr. Sudac in October of 1999, when he was invited to conduct a retreat at a Croatian parish in Chicago, close to where she lived. Ann was asked to translate for Fr. Sudac at that retreat, and has been working closely with him ever since. The experience of this ministry, and all the wonderful people she has met along the way, has blessed her life so richly, and she is extremely grateful to God for His abundant grace.

Cindy Wendt has been involved in Fr. Sudac's ministry since 2001. Her journey began when she made her first trip to Medjugorje in 1997, soon after the death of her dad and her fiancé. She found incredible peace and healing, and it was there that her real faith journey began. It was also on that trip that she first met Ann, who was the pilgrimage leader for the group. In the years following that trip, Cindy felt a gentle calling by God, to do more fully, the work of the Lord. After much prayer and discernment, and not knowing exactly what God had planned for her life, she took a leap of faith and left her corporate position with a major hotel chain, and never looked back. Several months later, she began working full time with Ann in this ministry, leading groups from around the United States to Bethany Retreat House and assisting with the organizing of the many facets of this ministry. Cindy is a native of Chicago and received her bachelors' degree from Western Illinois University. She feels richly blessed that God has led her into this beautiful ministry and continues to be touched by all the wonderful people that she has met along the way.

We CONSECRATE this Web site to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and ask Her, Our Holy Mother, to touch the hearts of each and every person who reads these pages. May Our Lady guide all of us each and every day, and may she use this Web site as a means of bringing souls closer to her beloved Son! To Jesus through Mary!

We invoke the PROTECTION of St. Michael the Archangel and all the legions of angels who battle evil. May they protect this Web site and all who look upon it. St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly Hosts, by the divine power of God, cast into hell, Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about this world, seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

We call upon the INTERCESSION of all the Saints and Angels in heaven. Plead before the great Throne of God, that hearts may be opened and souls may be touched and changed. May the name of Jesus be glorified through these pages.

Finally, we would like to say a few words of Thank You. First, we want to thank the wonderful people at Dream Street Studios, who are so knowledgeable about Web design, and have been so kind and helpful to us from the very beginning. They are young, faithful Catholics, who are on fire for their faith, and who are helping people to evangelize through modern technology. Thanks guys! May God continue to bless all that you do!!

Secondly, we would like to thank the wonderful group of women who are such a support to us in our ministry. There are five of us who are in a prayer group together, in addition to being the closest of friends. We support each other through our prayers, our love, our friendship and our counsel. God truly brought us together, and has used each and every one of us in this ministry with Fr. Sudac, some of us in more obvious ways, and some of us in more hidden ways, but all for the greater glory of God. Thank you, Mary Beth, Cathy and Letty.
